Common questions

Can I self-refer, or do I need to go through my PCP first?
Both work. You can self-refer through the patient portal or contact form, or ask your primary care provider to send a warm hand-off. If you're already established with us in primary care, a hand-off is usually faster.
Will my primary care provider see my behavioral-health notes?
By default, your PCP can see that you're being seen for behavioral health and the medications you're prescribed. Detailed psychotherapy notes have additional confidentiality protections and are not shared unless you specifically authorize it. We can talk through the exact sharing options at intake.
How quickly can I get a new-patient appointment?
Stable presentations: 2-4 weeks for therapy intake, 3-6 weeks for psychiatry. Higher-acuity concerns: sooner — let us know in the intake form so we can triage appropriately.
What if I have a crisis between visits?
Call or text 988 (the national Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or go to the nearest emergency department. You can also message us through the portal; we monitor between visits but are not a 24-hour service.
